School Rumble hits the Sony PSP! Adapted from the popular Japanese anime/manga, School Rumble: Nesan Jiken Desu features a unique conversation-based gameplay style with which to experience the title's original storyline. The story unfolds on an ordinary summer school day. As the bewildered high-school girl, Tenma Tsukamoto, players must figure out the mystery behind the sudden and bizarre collapse of their classmate - and Tenma's "Prince Charming" - Ouji Karasume. At the same time, bad-boy classmate Harima Kenji just so happens to be a secret admirer of Tenma. This love triangle gets explored in this conversation-based RPG adventure, which features fully-voiced dialogue using the original anime cast. Several other characters, including Yakumo Tsukamoto, Kyousuke Imadori, Karen Ichijou, and Haruki Hanai, also make appearances, and each character is fully voiced too.
The gameplay of School Rumble: Nesan Jiken Desu consists of investigating various locales while conversing with people in order to piece together the clues and solve the mystery. Through reading text and listening to dialogue, players select one out of a number of paths to change the flow of the story, which can result in multiple endings and more than a few surprises. Plus, players can use the "Perspective Switch" system, which allows for the story to be viewed from an alternate character's perspective in order to get a better grasp on the mystery.
