Twelve: Sengoku Fuushinden presents a mix of Japan's warring states era and an unimaginable fantasy land. Set in a fictional Japan during the Sengoku era, this sprite-based strategy game places the player among gods, spirits, mythical beasts and arcane robots. The adventure begins once the player choses to control one of the twelve heroes entrusted with protecting the spirits. Players will meet over 100 additional characters, many of whom are meant to resemble real Sengoku era generals.
Gameplay involves cutscenes and battle sequences on a familiar grid-based terrain. On the battlefield, each character will have their own unique "support command" skills. The effectiveness of the skill when used on other characters depends on their relationship with each other. If you want to have an overall upgrade of your entire corps, the command you should be looking for is "Master". Twelve: Sengoku Fuushinden also includes a unique weapon upgrade system. Based on the type of orb that's been attached, a weapon will gain a number of special characteristics.
