It’s a time to wash your hands, don a clean apron and clip your hair back: now you’re ready for another culinary adventure with Mama, on Nintendo 3DS for the first time! In Cooking Mama 4, you can prepare over 100 new dishes with Mama, combine recipes, help Mama out around the house and even play with friends - all in stereoscopic 3D.

To cook with Mama, just select the recipe you’d like to make and touch, slide, rub, or drag with your stylus on the Touch Screen (and maybe blow into the microphone) as instructed - don’t worry if you manage to mess it up, Mama will sort you out. But if you want to perfect a dish, then you should try practising the techniques before you give them a shot for real - after all, practise makes perfect! If your creation turns out well, you might even discover a new recipe to make next time.

Some of the minigames in Cooking Mama 4 involve moving or tilting the Nintendo 3DS system, and there are some sneaky places in the game where you can carry out hidden actions by moving your console, or by moving the Circle Pad - make sure you experiment as you play to see what happens!

Every time you receive a bonus for your wonderful cooking you’ll earn a star - collect three to receive a present, like new clothes or accessories for Mama. In Mama’s Gallery you can dress the leading lady in a new outfit, accessorise her look, or customise your kitchen and 3D Screen to your own personal taste.

You can also combine recipes: choose the two you’d like to mingle, then you can play a minigame where you mix the two food formulas together and concoct some (hopefully) wonderful new dish from the two sets of instructions. You only get one go at making the dish, but you never know what might result!

When you’re good to Mama, Mama’s good to you - so if you do a good job at cooking dishes, you’ll unlock fun new tasks you can do along with Mama to help her out around the house. Try to set records for each entertaining little errand, and you could earn extra time, too.
